St is a free structural analysis software for PC and Mac. It is tailored for 3D linear structural analysis. The frame element includes options for St. Venant torsion, warping torsion, geometric stiffness, and shear deformation. It has a growing element library that will include plane membranes, plates, shells, and brick elements. A unique future feature of St is an extended element formulation for composite structural members that includes code checks, damage predictions, and explicit description of model uncertainty. The companion software Rt links seamlessly with St. Both programs are fully parameterized, and parameters and responses flow between them. For example, random variables created in Rt serve as input parameters in St and responses from St serve as input parameters for downstream models in Rt. The notation and documentation for St is written in the Kt-notes. Examples are available in Et. St was created by Terje Haukaas, using the graphical user interface of Rt as starting point. Rt was developed by PhD Candidate Mojtaba Mahsuli.
